I have always had an interest in clay from my childhood when I used to dig it out of the fields and try to make pots.  At Teacher’s training college I studied Art and PE.  During my working life as a primary school teacher apart from being in charge of pottery lessons and the school kiln, I attended evening classes in ceramics, and more recently in Bath at Sydney Place Art School.  As soon as I retired in 2004 I joined the life sculpture classes run by Sue Larner at Bath Artist’s Studios, my keenest ambition, and where I am to this day.  I have exhibited with them at Walcot Chapel and 44 AD, also with the BRLSI in Queen Square and with Combe Down Art Trail and am looking to go further afield.  I now live in South Stoke, Bath, with my husband and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
