Carol Orwin

Carol is an Animalier, interested in the muscular form, movement, power, and nature of the animal that she models without compromising the anatomical integrity of the sculpture.

To ensure that her work is reproduced exactly she casts all her own sculptures ensuring that she retains complete control over the finished piece, including patination.  Carol studied at St Martin’s School of Art under Sir Anthony Caro and Phillip King.

Commissions: three Life-sized Wolves in Bronze installed at the University of Surrey.  Sumatran Tiger Cub and 9 month old adolescent cub for ZSL London Zoo Tiger territory.

Carol has exhibited in various national gardens including, Savill Garden, Royal Horticultural Gardens, Wisley, Hyde Hall and Rosemoor. Hillier’s Garden and Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate. Also Mall Galleries. Greys Court, Leonardslee Gardens, amongst many others.
