Jacquie Primrose

Working with glass mosaics, I have found a medium and process that I feel really connected to. Glass is such a wonderful material; I am inspired by the vast array of vibrant colours, patterns and textures it offers and enjoy weaving them into my mosaic work.

Creating mosaic art for outside spaces, combines my love of gardening with my fascination for the marriage between glass and light. It is perfect for displaying outside and the luminous quality of the glass still takes my breath away as it reacts, throughout the day and across the seasons, in response to sunlight, giving ever changing bursts of colours and patterns.  I am excited by the possibilities of combining other materials with the glass and enjoy the challenges and learning opportunities this presents.

Having been a school teacher for 30 years, I now continue to use my skills to teach mosaic workshops to adults at my Swindon studio. I love sharing my passion with others and enjoy helping them to release their inner creativity and develop their own piece of unique artwork for the garden.
