Martin Cash

Martin Cash is a full-time sculptor based in the Cotswolds, whose practice bridges the traditional and the contemporary in both abstract and figurative works. Working across English stone, bronze, and resins, his material palette reflects a commitment to both classical craftsmanship and modern innovation.

Each sculpture begins with a hand-drawn sketch—sometimes leading directly to stone carving, other times evolving into clay or digital maquettes. While English stone remains his signature medium, prized for its generational longevity, Martin’s exploration of alternative materials has expanded his expressive vocabulary and enabled the creation of unique indoor pieces alongside monumental works.

Martin creates  one-off, unique and predominantly outdoor pieces in response to ideas that spark his imagination. This independence fuels an uncompromising creative process where form and feeling are inseparable, and every curve, texture, and contrast is intentional.

His sculptures aim to use the heft, texture and colours of stone to generate curves and forms shaped by vision, precision, and passion.
